“It was joyous and simple. The château vibrated with the sound of the children running down the stairs. Everyone would gather around the table in the big kitchen for an improvised meal. And, at the end of the harvest, we would get out the guitars and start singing and dancing. Voices would come together, laughter would flow.
I also remember the difficult moments. But even in adversity we found the resources to remain smiling and to stay together. Like a family.
I remember that our ultimate goal was to make wine. And for someone, somewhere, to enjoy it, in good company. It was as simple as that
